When athletes, both professional and amateur, require the highest level of protection during sports activity, dentists prescribe PlaySafe® custom mouthguards. When properly fitted, these devices can prevent any variety of dental trauma, including fractured teeth from inadvertent impact. Compared to over-the-counter “boil-and-bite” mouthguards, PlaySafe® solutions offer a superior fit and retention. They are available in six levels of protection, from one to three layers of laminated ethylvinylacetate material with a final occlusal thickness between 3 mm and 5 mm. PlaySafe® mouthguards can also be customized with team logos and are available in a variety of colors to match the personality of every patient.
